The Dolphin Swim program is a must for
visitors, delivering excitement and unforgettable
memories. After an educational orientation, enjoy
a 30-minute swim (approx.) where you join our dolphins
and swim together in their natural lagoon. In this
award-winning program, you will kiss, hug, dance and
hula with the dolphins one-on-one. This exciting experience
ends with the thrilling foot push - an exhilarating
ride where the dolphins propel you through the turquoise
waters of their lagoon. This is an incredible opportunity
to learn more about marine mammals as you are encouraged
to ask questions as you make friends with dolphins
that are native to Bahamian waters.
Six California sea lions that lost their
home after Hurricane Katrina also now call Blue Lagoon
Island their home. Be sure to visit their large, all
natural habitat.
Upon request, we can arrange for a privately
owned bus service to pick you up at your hotel. The
cost is $8 per person, round-trip from Cable Beach
and $5 p.p. round-trip for Paradise Island guests.
The pick-up time for all Cable Beach hotel guests
is one hour prior to boat departure. For Paradise
Island, it is 15 minutes prior to your boat departure.
Our trip is operated 4 times daily at
8.30am, 10.30am, 1.30pm and 3.30pm. We operate rain
or shine. Dolphin Encounters Ltd. will not refund
for bad weather unless we cancel the excursion. In
such an event, we will contact you as soon as possible.
If there is extreme weather in the area, we suggest
that you call reservations (363-1003) regarding the
status of your boat departure. The water is 10 - 25
feet deep in the `Swim'. Wet suits (shorty type) are
available at no cost, while life vests are mandatory
in the swim program which help participants interact
more freely with the dolphins by eliminating the need
to tread water.
The maximum allowed in each "Swim" is ten
persons.
RESTRICTIONS:
Guests 5 or younger are not allowed in this program.
Guests ages 6 to 12 must be accompanied by a participating
paying adult (parent or guardian at least 18 years
of age).
Guests age 13 to 17 must be accompanied by an adult
(observer ticket is accepted) who needs to sign the
liability waiver.
Pregnant women may not participate in the Swim Program
(they may in The Close Encounter).
COMPANY POLICIES
Vouchers purchased from Majestic Holidays or Majestic
Tours must be redeemed at the time of check-in to
be valid.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less
than 24 hours prior to the reserved program. Groups
may require a longer cancellation period depending
on size.
No refunds will be issued for guests that do not meet
the program requirements for age, physical fitness,
maternity reasons or who violate company policies.
We go rain or shine! So, no refunds for bad weather
unless Dolphin Encounters cancels the excursion.
Dolphin Encounters reserves the right, under certain
circumstances, to omit specific behaviors or interactions
from the program.
Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the property.
Dolphin Encounters reserves the right to refuse service
to any guest under the influence of alcohol or any
illegal drugs.

Enjoy viewing native Bahamian Atlantic
bottlenose dolphins and California sea lions in their
all natural habitat - without getting wet!
Enjoy the 20-minute journey on our high-speed
catamarans that allows you to view Nassau's historic
and scenic harbour as you cruise by Paradise Island
and Nassau to beautiful Blue Lagoon Island, home of
Dolphin Encounters and the stars of Universal's Flipper
movie.
As an observer, your program includes
the fun interactive orientation, briefly covering
the natural history of dolphins, animal training techniques,
ocean conservation and Watchable Wildlife Guidelines.
Once there, watch a friend or family member as they
come "face to fins" with dolphins in our
award-winning Close Encounter or Dolphin Swim programs.
Enjoy the up-close and personal view of these gentle
marine mammals from a nearby platform - as you remain
high and dry.
At the program areas you can take your
own photos or videos from the public dock areas. However,
be advised: we cannot guarantee an unobstructed view
of all dolphin interactions & observers are not
allowed on the platforms at any time. Sorry no exceptions.
Visit the Sea Lion habitat, the home
of our California sea lions that were rescued from
Gulfport, Mississippi in the aftermath of Hurricane
Katrina - including the stars of the movie Andre and
Slappy and the Stinkers.
Enjoy shopping in the gift shop or refreshments
overlooking spectacular ocean views. Take in the beauty
of the natural surroundings that has made the island
and the facility a must-see for visitors to the Bahamas.
This is a relaxing trip to the beautiful private island
home of friendly dolphins and sea lions that is truly
unique.
COMPANY POLICIES:
Prepayment is required for observers if there are
other members of your party in the encounter or swim
programs.
Guests age 3 or younger may observe for free if accompanied
by a responsible paying adult with an observer ticket.
Parent or guardian must be at least 18 years of age.
Guests ages 4 to 17 may participate as a paid observer
on the dock as lonag as accompanied by a responsible,
paying adult with an observer ticket.
Observers wishing to upgrade to available Encounter
or Dolphin Swim spaces may apply the value of the
observer ticket toward the purchase of the upgrade.
The Observer Fee of $25.00 must be paid on check-in
at the Dolphin Encounter ticket counter and CANNOT
be prepaid to Majestic Holidays or Majestic tour.
